3D Coat 4 - update 4.0.07B [BETA]

Changes regarding quadrangulation:
  • Better support of guidelines.
    Important rules to get best results: Don't make intersecting guides! Don't draw too many guides! In symmetry case it is better to place all guides on one side.
  • Better capturing of finger-like details
  • Overall quality improvements

3D Coat 4 - update 4.0.07A [BETA]

Changes:
  • Auto-retopology improved, should work better and give more stable result. But it still requires work.
    Please send any problematic files (bad quality or hang) directly to this email with subject "Autoretopo problem" - for ease of seeking. This will help to reach stable point much faster.
Please be careful with:
  1. Enabling hardsurface on soft meshes will give wrong result
  2. Symmetry is very important!
  3. Too many guidelines may drop down quality. Mark only really important guides. But in most cases guides are not required at all.

3D Coat 4 - update 4.0.07 [BETA]

Changes:

1) Essentially updated quadrangulation:
  • quads only in very most cases
  • adaptive density, much better features capturing (like fingers)
  • users strokes will create exact edges if tangent post-smoothing is turned off
  • hardsurface retopology. But it is a bit experimental.
  • good symmetry support. Symmetry improves quality drastically.
  • no more spirals. Edgeloops are created in almost all cases.
